Seti Karnali's river fishing trip starts from the river Seti that meets the river Karnali. The Seti River is 107 miles long, and Karnali is the largest and longest river in Nepal with a length of 507 kilometers. It flows in the Far-Western Region of Nepal. It is a much-gifted river of Nepal. Karnali inhabits different types of Gangetic-Dolphins, soft-shelled turtles, and Golden Mahseer fish among other species of fishes and aquatic animals.

Karnali River Fishing is a true destination for adventure-loving people. Besides fishing, here get a chance to enjoy the scenic beauty of countryside Nepal, greenery, hills, local culture, and many more. In short, it is a treasure of natural beauty where visiting once is not enough.

Highlights

  • Fish on the longest river in Nepal at 315 miles long
  • Fish unique species like the Golden Mahseer and the Silver Mahseer

Rafting in Karnali River

Rafting can also be enjoyed in Karnali. The experience of paddling in an inflated rubber boat in search of fish for miles following the watercourse is not defined in words. In the course, you will pass through wonderful gorges and this will truly fascinate you. The flora and fauna here leave a deep impression on you forever. The other advantage of fishing in the Karnali river is that you will enjoy ample time rafting too. You will be rafting for around four days and in this time period, you will also fish on the river. While on the trip you will stay overnight in a tent and this will be another unique experience of your life.

Best Time For Fishing in Karnali River

Fishing in Seti Karnali river Nepal can be done throughout the year but the recommended best time is autumn and spring. The best time to fish is between the monsoon seasons. The best season for fishing in Nepal is February to May and September to November for the chance to battle a fish in the serene mountain environment.

Apart from trekking and rafting, fishing has huge scope in Nepal hence; Regulus stepped up with the concept of Fishing Tourism which is unique from another form of adventure experienced in Nepal.

Fishes Found in Karnali River

The river inhabits various species of fish including the Golden Mahseer. Karnali is the ideal place for Mahseer fishing. It is one of the beautiful fishes found in the Karnali River. It is a highly esteemed food fish. The scales of this fish are large in comparison to other fishes.  It is also known as Indian Salmon.

Bardia National Park

Besides, you will also get a chance to visit Bardia National Park after enjoying a fishing trip on the Karnali River. The park is popular as it inhabits one of the most beautiful but endangered species on the planetā€”the Royal Bengal Tiger. Furthermore, it is a place where you can also witness One-Horned rhinos, wild elephants, and Swamp deer.
