Chitwan National Park Safari Tour

Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters). You will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Take a rest & free day, and explore the Thamel area on yours.  In the evening join the welcome dinner in an authentic typical Nepali restaurant &. enjoy the local taste of Nepali foods, discussion about the tour program.

After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour by visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites within Kathmandu valley. 

Swayambhunath Temple is popularly known as the Monkey Temple owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. One of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world which are located high on the hill giving an aerial view of Kathmandu valley.

Kathmandu Durbar Square, popularly known as Hanuman Dhoka & Basantapur Durbar is an ancient Royal residential quarter. It is surrounded by spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries, knowing Nepalese art and architecture at its best. The living goddess Kumari Devi & Mahadev Parvati Temple are the main attractions here.

Patan Durbar Square, an ancient Royal residential quarter where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided is located in the center of Patan (Lalitpur) city. The ancient palace, temples, and shrines, unique culture, finest display of craftsmanship & beautiful carvings are the main things to explore here in Patan. We will visit the main attractions- Krishna Temple, Bhimsen Temple, and the Golden Temple of Hiranya Varna. The Bauddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia and is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.

Today we take an early morning breakfast and drive to Chitwan, a district where the world-famous Chitwan National Park is located (165 km) from Kathmandu. Our private vehicle will drop you here at Chitrasari, Tadi, or Bharatpur airport. From here a hotel representative will pick you up at the hotel. On arrival at the hotel, you will be offered a welcome drink & refreshment & will be briefed about the hotel, its facilities. You can take a rest for some time after your arrival here and take lunch. Our representative will brief you about tomorrow’s schedule. In the evening we can enjoy a gentle walk which is full of pleasure. The sunset view towards the Rapti River is beautiful. Flocks of birds flying in the sky will soothe your heart. In the evening you will enjoy your dinner with Tharu music and their cultural dance. Tharu are native of the place. They consider themselves jungle people with distinct traditions.

It is a fun-packed day today. You will enjoy jungle activities. Early in the morning, you get to wake up and knock for early Jungle activities. The morning jungle program will be scheduled as per easiness of the guide or organizer. You will begin the trip either watching a bird or Elephant Safari or a Jungle walk. After a couple of hours, you get back to the lodge for breakfast. You get a few hours of leisure before the next excursion as per instructions you got a day earlier. Elephant Safari, Jungle walk includes visit to the tower (Machan) visit and Jungle drives. It is an excursion of around three hours which is an excellent opportunity for sighting four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). After finishing the safari we will go canoeing along the Rapti river. The evening program in the park will fascinate you. You will be told or shown slides regarding the park’s history, flora, and wildlife. Cultural Tharu Stick Dance is fascinating. Usually dinner is served at 8 pm. The dinner will be a buffet of Nepali dishes or Chinese-Indian dishes. Camp firing on request.

Early in the morning, you get to wake up knock for early Jungle activities and visit Government Elephant Breeding Center. After breakfast, you leave the park and drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival to Kathmandu, relaxing or shopping with own activities.
